Accessibility
We want to make sure that this website is accessible to everyone. If you have any questions or suggestions about the accessibility of this site, please contact our web-developer.
We have used Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 to make the site as accessible as possible. We have chosen to produce a single accessible site rather than produce a separate accessible version.
Key steps in our approach:
- The presentation is separate from structure
- All content is well structured and marked up in xhtml
- All style is defined using cascading stylesheets
- The user can control all text sizes
- Link texts make sense when read out of context. Where links are not explicit, title text has been used
- All form fields are correctly labelled and have a logical linear order
- The site does not require Javascript to access content
- The website content is device independent
